A committee appointed to search for replacement Officers for the 1998-1999 year, responded with their reccomendations. The committee consisted of Don Kahler, Charles VanSickle, Roger Smith and Randy Foster as Chairperson. The committee met on several occasions and talked to the following people whose names were submitted for approval to the following offices.
Commander - Randal Foster
Adjutant - Ken Fernandes
Sr. Vice Commander - Don Kahler
Jr. Vice Commander - Dana Hales
Sergeant At Arms - Joe Grover
Asst Sgt. At Arms - Wade Hales
Chaplain - Robert Allen
Asst. Chaplain - Steve Allen
Service Officer - Carl Collins
Finance Officer - Roger Smith
The committee's reccomendations were approved and the new officers will become effective after the newman festival on June 20, 1998.
Final plans were made for the parade on June 20. Members wishing to march in the Parade are encouraged to assemble at the Legion at 11:00 A.M. There will be a float available for 50 year members who will ride in the parade. They will board the float at the legion, prior to the parade.
Jim Grover will be replacing the roof on the "old" section of the legion. He will also remove the dormers from the front of the building.
Don Kahler and Ken Fernandes both presented awards to Bob Miller for his distinguished service to the American Legion. Bob is completing his 7th year as Post Commander. This is a post record for years served as commander. We certainly thank Bob for his Leadership, Patriotism, and Devotion to maintaining an active Post!
